Axa Sun Life Investment Management of London was poised to replace the systems used by both of its predecessor companies--Axa Equity & Law and Sun Life & Provincial--with Decalog's Idee for portfolio management, performance measurement, compliance and trade-order routing. Idee replaced a mix of home-grown and shrink-wrapped applications that ran on Windows 3.11 and OS/2. By the summer, Axa was ready to install a common database architecture for both its London business and its Parisian
