Columbia Management Ditches Shark For ILX At 18 Positions In Drive Toward UNIX

Columbia Management Co. has installed 18 quote terminals from ILX Systems Inc. The move--an early step toward the UNIX operating environment--eventually will oust incumbent Shark Information Services Corp., which has provided Columbia portfolio managers and traders with real-time quotes for eight years.
