Jefferies Plans Web Site For 1Q 1997, To Carry Proprietary Research

JEFFERIES & Co. is developing a site on the World Wide Web that will provide its customers with free access to its research documents. The Web site is due to be launched in the first quarter of 1997. Jefferies is also building an intranet that it will use to distribute its own research reports firmwide.
The Web site will give Jefferies' clients access to the same research the firm currently makes available via Multex Systems' Multex Publisher full-text, graphical research distribution service
