Pension Funds, Insurance Cos. Join To Form Data Service For Real-Estate Loan Market

SOME 25 pension funds and insurance companies--including Aetna Realty Investors Inc. and Prudential Insurance Co.--have banded together to launch an electronic information service for the commercial real-estate loan market. The coalition, which registered as a not-for-profit corporation last month, has held talks with both Bloomberg L.P. and Dow Jones Telerate about using those vendor's networks and screens to broadcast their bids and offers, descriptive data and historical pricing information.
