US institutional investors' high expectations

NEWS ANALYSIS: INDUSTRY TRENDS | STUDY REVEALS HIGH INTEREST DEMANDS FROM US INVESTORS

LONDON – According to a recent study published by The Bank of New York (BoNY) in September entitled Institutional Demand for Hedge Funds: New Opportunities and New Standards, hedge funds that return less than 8% net can forget about attracting US institutional investors. BoNY found in its 20-page survey that 57% of the US's institutional hedge fund investors expect at least this level of return, which will rise in line with interest rates.

While the 8% expectation allows the top 10 funds of hedge
