Thomson Financial Abandons Institutional Workstation Business Unit, Sales Force

Thomson Financial Services Inc. has shut down its Institutional Workstation business unit, six months after it announced the creation of a national consultative sales force to market the product. The vendor is now trying to figure out what to do with the workstation software, which was designed to provide a single point of access to disparate buy-side services.
