Brown Bros. Ends Tests Of FMC Pacer, Advances Security APL Portvue

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. is moving forward with portfolio accounting system evaluations at its New York headquarters. While the firm has made no final decision yet, sources say it has advanced tests of one of the vendors it had been considering: Security APL Inc. While these tests are limited in scope, they bode well for a larger Security APL win at the firm.

The evaluations followed the firm's dissemination of a request for proposal to four vendors last year. In addition to Security APL
