Depository Trust Co. Okays Use Of Thomson's Oasys; Thomson Not Yet Satisfied

After prodding from the Securities and Exchange Commission as well as from the House Subcommittee on Telecommunications and Finance, the Depository Trust Co. has filed with the SEC to allow users of Thomson Financial Services Inc.'s Oasys trade acceptance and allocation network to communicate directly with the DTC. Although Thomson sees this as a positive step towards its goal of allowing Oasys customers to confirm trades directly with the DTC, according to Thomson there are still major issues
