LBS Capital Management Inc., known for its reliance on artificial intelligence-based money management systems, has implemented risk analysis software supplied by Barra Inc. for the first time in the eight years it has been in the investment management business. At the same time, LBS has opted to deploy its stock-performance forecast modeling systems--which include proprietary neural network-based systems--on Unix-based hardware supplied by Hewlett-Packard Co.
