Reuters 3000 Xtra goes mobile with Companion

LONDON -- Reuters started providing customers with a wireless version of information product 3000 Xtra at the end of October in an effort to add value to its flagship desktop service.

The product, 3000 Xtra Companion, provides access to charts, news and delayed prices via a personal digital assistant (PDA) or internet browser.

The mobile offering allows users to stay in touch with the markets while away from their desk or office, something Paul Hansford, head of Reuters premium desktop, says

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
