I was speaking to a colleague recently about ASPs and according to her the ASP is a thing of the past. "As far as I’m concerned, they’re dead," she said before launching into a hyperbole-punctuated tirade denouncing the shortcomings associated with delivering an application to a user via the internet. "They’re surely not still around, are they?" she enquired, genuinely oblivious to the recent spate of ASP offerings and signings on the buy side.
