MIK Fund Solutions has unveiled a new equity finance tracking and optimization system for hedge funds and asset managers. Through the solution, users can monitor, measure and evaluate financing activities through their financing interactions with their brokers.
The Equity Finance application, which is customizable, can process a "landslide of information contained in the various stock loan data sets from the Street," according to the New York-based vendor. The tool automatically aggregates all related securities indications from the source files as the information becomes available.
"Basic financing data collection and analysis using Microsoft Excel is no longer sufficient for hedge funds or asset managers in today's complex trading environments," says MIK's COO Marshall Saffer. "Rather, firms now demand the ability to use data in a comprehensive and integrated way, to ultimately lower costs around financing and reduce the impact of financing on fund performance."
