Advent Software, the San Francisco-based buy-side technology specialist, has made two appointments: Jad Fares has been appointed regional sales manager for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and will be based in the firm’s Dubai office, while Jesper Steiness has been appointed director of business development for EMEA and will be based in Luxembourg.
Fares joins Advent from Bloomberg where he served as Middle East and Africa Manager for electronic trading and execution. He has over ten years' experience working for technology providers in the Middle East and the US, in addition to his work with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, global asset managers, hedge funds, and investment banks.
Steiness' role will focus on the Luxembourg market. He has over 20 years' experience in the global fund industry in Hong Kong, Singapore and Luxembourg. Steiness has a background in fund administration, custody and asset management, and has held a number of independent directorships on fund boards.
James talks about his trip to Chicago and some of the interesting topics that came up (including a look at disaster recovery demands). Then Anthony and James touch on ISDA's initial margin rules, with Phase 3 going live next year.Subscribe to Weekly Wrap emails
