Advent Appoints Two in EMEA Region

Jad Fares has been appointed regional sales manager for Advent, focusing on the firm's Middle East and North Africa region.

Fares joins Advent from Bloomberg where he served as Middle East and Africa Manager for electronic trading and execution. He has over ten years' experience working for technology providers in the Middle East and the US, in addition to his work with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, global asset managers, hedge funds, and investment banks.

Steiness' role will focus on the Luxembourg market. He has over 20 years' experience in the global fund industry in Hong Kong, Singapore and Luxembourg. Steiness has a background in fund administration, custody and asset management, and has held a number of independent directorships on fund boards.
