Symphony Software Foundation Adds Three New Members
ChartIQ, The Beast Apps, and Tick42 join the open source innovation group.
ChartIQ, The Beast Apps, and Tick42 have joined Symphony Software Foundation bringing its membership up to 20 firms covering the buy-side, sell-side, data, technology and financial technology sectors.
Gabriele Columbro, executive director of the foundation, said the three new member firms are integral to bringing more value to those who use the Symphony platform.
“As we built up the Foundation last year, we quickly realized the strong drive shared by large financial institutions and younger fintech firms to collaborate in the open and achieve true interoperability through open source,” said Columbro. “ChartIQ, The Beast Apps, and Tick42 are on the forefront of financial technology innovation and will increase the value the Foundation delivers to the community on the Symphony platform and to the financial services industry at-large.”
Membership to the Symphony Foundation has already set up more than 40 open source projects. In October last year, the group released application programming interfaces (APIs) for its Open Developer Platform to the development community.
