ICE Extends Connectivity to Japan with Go West Deal

The Go West consortium describes its mission as "to create more efficient access to global financial markets by offering the fastest and lowest latency route between Chicago and Tokyo... at a reasonable cost."

The Go West network will combine wireless towers, fiber-optic lines, and sub-sea cables to carry data across the US and under the Pacific Ocean. ICE already operates wireless networks covering the New Jersey metro area, powered by Chicago-based Anova, and the Atrium network between New Jersey, Chicago and Toronto as part of its SFTI (Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure) network.
