ArcaEx Users Begin Move to FAST

The Archipelago Exchange has begun migrating its members to the FAST (FIX Adapted for Streaming data) protocol, a move that could dramatically reduce the amount of bandwidth used by the exchange and its clients to send and receive market data messages.

Eric Stockland, director of active data products at ArcaEx, says the first four clients moved from a test environment to live production using FAST two weeks ago, and there are several more in the process of testing the new protocol.
