Consultants Face Off Over Benchmarking

ADMINISTRATION & MANAGEMENT

Two London-based consultancies, Buttonwood Tree and PTS Consulting, last week announced plans to offer market data cost benchmarking services that will help firms control market data usage and costs.

Buttonwood Tree is introducing a service targeted at fund managers, though it will expand next year to cover investment banks. The company already has a "charter group" of just under 10 asset managers, including Hermes and Newton Investment Management, contributing details of their data costs.
