Instinet Pulls Reuters Through Again; IMS Up In Q3

Once again, Reuters' revenue report was highlighted by the performance of Instinet, which posted a 44 per cent jump in revenues for the third quarter, excluding currency fluctuations. Reuters' revenues were up 10 per cent ex-currency overall for the three months ended September 30, a slight improvement over the 8 per cent increase the vendor reported for the second quarter and the 9 per cent posted in the first.

While Instinet was the star for the quarter, the unit's strong performance is nothing
