S&P Files Motion In Response To Suit Filed By Lynch Jones

NEW YORK--McGraw-Hill and Standard & Poor's have filed a motion to dismiss a complaint filed by Lynch Jones & Ryan concerning S&P MMS' reporting of the brokerage firm's data.

The original suit, filed in New York State Supreme Court (IMD, October 13), and the motion to dismiss it involve the LJR Redbook index, a weekly analysis of the level of sales activity in the retail industry. Lynch Jones distributes the averages to paid subscribers every Tuesday at 2:05 p.m. The brokerage firm then releases
