NYSE Prepares New Products

FRONT PAGE: EXCHANGE WATCH

The New York Stock Exchange is preparing to launch several new data products as well as updates to existing ones by the end of this year, says Ron Jordan, vice-president of market data.

As with the larger organization, the market data department is currently focused on the hybrid trading initiative, in which the NYSE will incorporate more electronic trading while retaining its traditional open outcry model. That initiative has led directly to the development of a real-time version of OpenBook
