S&P: Limited Inconvenience From IQuery Outage

Standard & Poor's experienced an outage of its S&P Ratings IQuery Web-based ratings search product just over a week ago that left users unable to access ratings for fixed income instruments from S&P's ratings database.

According to S&P, the system went down on Friday, Dec. 9, between 11:38 am and 1 pm due to an equipment failure at its hosting center in Hightstown, New Jersey.

A spokesperson says the vendor switched the system to run from its New York office, after which it was successfully
