Data Transmission Network Files for Chapter 11

ORGANIZATION & STRATEGY

Data Transmission Network Corp., the holding company for market data provider DTN Market Access, filed for Chapter 11 last week in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York as part of an agreement with its secured lenders.

The company was forced to file because it had too much debt, a spokesperson says, but its business units will continue normal operations and current customer services as well as meet all obligations to vendors and employees.
