ADP Plans To Sell Its GTIS Unit To Data Broadcasting

NEW YORK--ADP is expected to announce a sale of its Global Treasury Information Services (GTIS) unit to Data Broadcasting Corp. within the next 30 days, according to sources close to the deal.

The sale is no surprise--GTIS has been on the sales block for more than a year. But the acquirer is. It was widely believed that United Financial Services, the data consolidation arm of United News & Media's brokerage units, was on the verge of doing the deal.
