Reuters Buys NCR Parallel Processor For 'Data Warehouse'

Reuters has embarked on a project to unite all of its databases of financial information into a single relational database, which the vendor is calling a data warehouse. As the first step in this project, Reuters has purchased a massively parallel processor from AT&T subsidiary NCR Corp., which will be used to house the database.

With the NCR processor in place, Reuters will be able to begin the process of moving from product-specific databases to a single repository that will store and manage up
