PSA Feed Specs Slowly Come To Light; Release Slated For February

In unveiling the first hard specifications for its Treasuries price feed, the Public Securities Association may be one step closer to convincing the federal authorities that legislation is not necessary for freeing up government bond prices. However, it may have fallen short of satisfying data vendors who -- in the face of the resulting commoditization of Treasuries prices -- hoped to gain an edge over rivals by bundling the prices with their own value-added analytics.
