K-R Financial's CommodityCenter Sold To DTN

Knight-Ridder Financial has signed a deal with Data Transmission Network (DTN), a Omaha, Neb.-based commodities data specialist, to combine Knight-Ridder's CommodityCenter standalone futures data platform with DTN's analogous product, dubbed DTNstant. The combined system will use DTN's proprietary hardware platform while Knight-Ridder will contribute its market data and news. The system will be targeted at end-users in the U.S. and Canadian agricultural futures market.

The deal calls for DTN to
