Reuters NewMedia Inc. recently acquired a 2.5 percent equity stake in Yahoo Corp., which provides a directory of sites on the Internet. Reuters also extended its contract to provide Yahoo's site with the Reuters Online News Services through 1999. In addition, says a Yahoo official, Reuters and Yahoo are planning to co-sponsor a site on the World Wide Web.
