DLJ'S Pershing Adds Real-Time Data To Brokerage Service

Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Inc.'s Pershing clearing division has begun providing limited access to real-time quotes via its Personal Control Financial Network (PCFN) -- without its users' having to pay exchange fees. The system also added an online options trading facility.
PCFN is Pershing's PC-based discount brokerage system, delivered to individual investors via Prodigy Services Co.'s network. Pershing officials say PCFN handles about 1,000 trades a day. Orders are placed by phone or via the
