Thomson Global Markets Gets Another Name; Plans To Rebrand As IFR

LONDON--Thomson Global Markets will be rebranded under the IFR name in January of next year. The change--only one year and three months after it changed from the well-known Technical Data name--comes in the wake of its merger into International Financing Review organization (IMD, Oct. 11).

"IFR is the strongest brand we have in the capital markets area," says Peter Farley, managing director of TGM in London. He believes that the company, which has "lost a lot of brand identity over the years,"
