As expected (IMD, June 3), the famously closed Bloomberg has officially opened up, offering a new "Bloomberg Data License" product to give customers "the same data that nourishes the Bloomberg terminal for use in third party and proprietary applications."
This wouldn't be such a big deal if the announcement didn't also note that "data delivery methods and pricing models will be flexible based on the amount, types of data and applications supported." Further details weren't immediately availa
