Futuresource/Bridge signed a deal with Bridge's Telerate subsidiary to take over sales of Telerate services into the energy markets in North America and Europe. Although the contracts were signed by key officials within Telerate and given approval by Bridge chairman, CEO and president Tom Wendel, an official announcement was delayed because of "internal politics" at Bridge. European heads, including the newly appointed Chip Steinmetz, pressured Wendel to hold back because of concerns
