Capital IQ Extends Functionality

Among the features released at the end of June is a Microsoft PowerPoint plug-in that integrates with the platform's Excel plug-in to allow investment banking and research analysts to create updatable presentations stored in a slide library.

"Previously, they would have to refresh an Excel model, then paste the data into PowerPoint again, make sure it's formatted correctly, and so on. Now they can open the PowerPoint presentation... and simply right-click on the object and select refresh," says
