Ixnet Buys SGN; New Reach For Data Services

NEW YORK--Ixnet, a subsidiary of IPC Information Systems, has acquired Saturn Global Network Services Holdings in a deal that will expand the company's reach into new regions for delivery of its financial data services.

Ixnet purchased the London-based Saturn Global Networks (SGN) from M.W. Marshall for £30 million ($48.9 million). The deal is expected to close in the next 40 days.

The deal will provide Ixnet with access to SGN's existing customer base, such as Euro Brokers, Chapdelaine and Exco
