Nasdaq Preps On-Demand FTP Data Download
Nasdaq OMX is adding FTP file download capabilities to its on-demand market data portal developed with Web Services data vendor Xignite, allowing clients to download larger amounts of data to support back-testing and strategy development.
The exchange launched the Nasdaq Data-On-Demand service in October (IMD, Oct. 9, 2010), which allowed users who may not need a full day’s worth of tick data to request specific subsets of historical best-bid-and-offer and last sale data—such as the volume
