S&P Capital IQ Forms Portfolio Risk Team with R2 Buy

McGraw-Hill’s S&P Capital IQ division is creating an internal portfolio risk team to centralize development of risk analytics for its desktop applications, following its acquisition of pricing and risk management software provider R2 Financial Technologies last week.

The new team will be managed by Jonathan York, chief technology officer of portfolio risk management at S&P Capital IQ, and will comprise the vendor’s ClariFI and Risk Solutions teams, as well as R2’s staff of more than 30 financial
