NYSE Tech Confirms Reuters' Robson as CEO

Jon Robson at Thomson Reuters

Jon Robson, former president of Thomson Reuters' Enterprise division, has joined NYSE Technologies, the data and technology arm of NYSE Euronext, as chief executive, the exchange announced today, confirming widespread rumors.

Based in New York, Robson reports to NYSE Euronext deputy CEO Dominique Cerutti, and replaces Stanley Young, who left the company in May to join Bloomberg as CEO of the vendor's Enterprise Products and Solutions division (IMD, May 31).

Robson was most recently head of a newly-created business development office at Thomson Reuters, following various reorganizations and executive shuffles last year that included the departure of then-CEO Tom Glocer and CEO of the vendor's financial business Devin Wenig. Previously, he was president of the Enterprise division and also served as president of the Americas and head of Focus Group Accounts, since joining Reuters in 2003 from Moneyline Telerate, where he was CEO.
