Platts Adds Coal, Shale Price Assessments

Energy and commodities data provider Platts has expanded its price assessments for US steam coal used to generate electricity in export markets, with four new daily price assessments quoted in US dollars per metric ton, and published via Platts' real-time Electricity Alert, European Power Alert, Market Data-Electric Power and other sources.

The vendor has also begun publishing two new natural gas assessments for the Millennium Pipeline East and Texas Eastern M-2 hubs, based on receipts into each pipeline, via its real-time Natural Gas Alert, Market Data-Natural Gas end-of-day feed and other Platts news publications.
