Marlin Acquires Asset Control

Enterprise data management vendor Asset Control has been acquired by global investment firm Marlin Equity Partners, for an undisclosed sum this week, bucking the recent trend of EDM providers being acquired by market data vendors.

Speculation of a sale has been rife since the departure of ex-CEO Phil Lynch in February, with suggestions that Asset Control might too be acquired by a data vendor, after global enterprise data management provider Cadis and Dublin-based data management software
