The first phase of the build will provide an initial capacity of 1,385 cabinets and is due open in the first half of 2015. When completed, LD6 will provide a total capacity of approximately 8,000 square meters (86,000 square feet) equating to 2,770 cabinets.

The Slough campus, which already houses Equinix's LD4 and LD5 facilities, offers latencies of 30 milliseconds to New York and 4 milliseconds to Frankfurt, and is a key hub for many market data providers.
