Bankruptcy Court Spells End For Bridge

SPECIAL REPORT

St. Louis--Federal Bankruptcy Court Judge David McDonald put Bridge Information Services out of its misery last week, approving a plan to liquidate Bridge and overruling moves by Cantor Fitzgerald and Market Data Corp. to block the liquidation. The ruling comes one day shy of the first anniversary of Bridge's Chapter 11 filing (IMD, Feb.19).

Under the plan, approximately $500 million is available to pay off creditors that are owed $1.5 billion.

Cantor Fitzgerald claimed it was owed $199 million
