Taking Responsibility for Entity Identification

There is growing realization in the financial data management industry that it could be well over a year before the global legal entity identifier (LEI) system is fully functional. The Financial Stability Board (FSB) set March 2013 as the deadline for launching the LEI system. However, rather than meaning that LEIs would be available from this time, as some had optimistically hoped, it quickly became clear the FSB's intention was that the most important administrative bodies of the LEI system
