BRUSSELS - The outcome of the European Commission's (EC) ruling in the competition case against Standard & Poor's (S&P) - concerning licensing fees for databasing the security identifiers Cusip-based ISINs - could affect the popularity of the ISIN standard and interest in cross-border trading, complaint supporters tell Inside Reference Data.
The EC launched formal proceedings against S&P on January 12, investigating if the fees being charged by S&P for databasing International Security
