CUSIP Numbers Created for MAC IRS Contracts

CUSIP numbers have been developed to facilitate the trading, processing and transparency of Market Agreed Coupons (MAC), a recently created type of interest rate swap contract.

MAC contracts were developed by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association's Asset Management Group (SIFMA AMG) and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) in April, and include pre-defined, market-agreed terms, including start and end dates, payment dates, fixed coupons, currencies and
