Nasdaq OMX Adopts Bloomberg Open Symbology

Nasdaq OMX, the exchange company and data provider, has incorporated Bloomberg's Open Symbology (BSYM) securities identification system into its Nasdaq Last Sale Plus (NLS Plus) market data feed.

BSYM provides identifiers for securities across all asset classes, which are free of charge. Jeff Kimsey, Maryland-based vice president and head of product management for Nasdaq OMX Global Data Products, says incorporating these into NLS Plus will improve transparency and help clients to streamline data
