Tokyo LOU Goes Live; Canadian LOU Designated

The Japan Exchange Group, through its Tokyo Stock Exchange unit, began allocating legal entity identifiers (LEI) on August 1 under its status as a local operating unit granted by the Basel, Switzerland-based LEI Regulatory Oversight Committee (ROC) on April 14.

On August 4, LEI ROC also named CDS Clearing and Depository Services as the LOU for the Canadian market, with sponsorship by the Ontario Securities Commission.
