The organization that oversees the legal entity identifier (LEI) system has today (October 20) launched an online index of all the codes issued to date.

"Any interested party can easily access and search the completed LEI data pool free of charge, using the web-based LEI search tool developed by the GLEIF," the Global LEI Foundation (GLEIF) said.

The index consists of a golden copy of all past and current LEI records in one repository, the GLEIF added in a press release.
