EC Delays New Investment Products Legislation Over Key Info Documents

Regulation postponed after technical standards rejected will now take effect at the same time as MiFID II.

The European Parliament and council must now ensure that the new regulation passes through certain procedures within one month in order to formally postpone the regulation until next year. This postponement comes after the European Parliament rejected the regulatory technical standards of the PRIIP Key Information Documents (KIDs) in September.
