NEW YORK--With a date of February 27, 1999, set for testing market data systems for Year 2000 compliance, several key participants have signed up and various other vendors and exchanges are interested in taking part, according to Tom Jordan, executive director of the Financial Information Forum (FIF). Jordan spoke at both a Securities Operations Forum in New York two weeks ago and at a joint FIF and Financial Information Services Division (FISD) meeting in Chicago last week.
