RW Baird Taps Magenta Bond Benchmarks as Bloomberg Completes BMRK Integration

Bloomberg quietly acquired the Magenta Line automated pre-trade price discovery tool from real-time fixed income pricing startup Benchmark Solutions for an undisclosed sum, after Benchmark failed to generate enough business and closed down. Officials decline to comment on details of the acquisition, or whether any staff or other technologies were included as part of the deal, though the vendor confirms that there are no remaining “standalone” customers of the service.
