State Street Expands MediaStats Sentiment Platform to Europe, Asia

After launching the MediaStats platform last year, State Street is looking to expand its coverage beyond US equities, to measure the impact of media activity on stock prices of companies listed on European and Asian markets. Joanne Faulkner reports on the story so far.

The expansion is being driving by an “insatiable demand that investment managers have for new sources of data,” says Will Kinlaw, global head of State Street Associates, the firm’s academic affiliate.
